The case drew nationwide attention after Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said it appeared the Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat in the two years she apparently was in the bathroom.
James Ellis, a neighbor, said he had known the woman since she was a child, but that he had not seen her for at least six years.
Did he not ever stop to think where the hell she might be??? This is ridiculous! I can't fathom how the husband would have allowed this to go on. You would think any intelligent caring person would have called for help. What about the neighbors and friends who hadn't seen her for years? Isn't not seeing her for years suspicious? How did the husband explain it? Confused.
