The Incredible Hulk Movie | Edward Norton, Liv Tyler & Tim Roth | In Theaters June 13, 2008

Hadn't heard anything about this until today and it is slated to be released in June, about a month after Iron Man.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

No silly, Edward Norton is Bruce Banner. He's much too small to be the HUlk.

I liked Ang Lee's Hulk. The vibe I get from the trailer doesn't make me want to go see it. It seems to focus on the action and not on the character development.

Excuse me while I give voice to my inner comic book geek: Judging by the trailer I think they did a nice job with the Abomination. No more knobby head and bat wing ears. Just big and nasty looking. I was under the impression that the Leader was going to be in this one as well, but I didn't see him in the trailer.
Nice thing about this film is that after Iron Man (who supposedly makes a cameo in the Hulk movie) and Hulk, the Thor film and Captain America film are supposed to hit. And then after that and Avengers film with all the main players. Of course none of this is in writing so it is most likely a fanboy pipe dream.

Ummm... this is the Hulk we are talking about, right? Character development? Just toss in about 5 minutes of angst and Frued and then just smash the hell out of a bunch of stuff for another 85 minutes and it captures the source material perfectly.
To each their own, to be sure. I enjoyed the Ang Lee film enough, but I thought it really missed the mark. Ang Lee's Hulk was a flop because there was too much character development and angst for the comic book fans. They just wanted to stuff get smashed. And the folks who really enjoy a movie about a deeply conflicted main character who experienced traumatic childhood loss and cannot allow himself resolution so he gives birth to a violent expression of his id couldn't really get over the huge green fella walking around in torn pants. And the gamma ray pound puppies stunk on ice. Too thinking for it's comic book roots, too comic book for a thinking film. Loved the editing though, the way they captured the visual feel of the 9 panel page with the multiple windows on screen at times.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
