All of them.
Radio should be banned and the mindless masses forced to create their own entertainment with a crate of Bud and two hard-boiled eggs.

I quite like the Foo Fighters. Hated Nirvana though. Cobain was a whiny little prick.

I second Everclear. How they ever broke through into mainstream I have no idea (but that goes for about 99% of musical acts out there right now)

Avril Lavigne
Justin Timberlake
Dashboard Confessional

Wow, someone said Justin Timberlake?!? JT's teh bomb!

The only problem I have with this thread is that the confines are unclear. Shouldn't the band be heard on radio at all? After all, almost every band has one "good song." I'm going to take it to mean that no new songs should be heard by them.

Foo Fighters (oh yeah I said it)
Sum41
Linkin Park
Nickelback
Jon Bon Jovi

- Led Zeppelin
- Pink Floyd
- Jimi Hendrix

Everytime I turn on the radio (on various stations), these three bands/musicians seem to be playing.

Have you tried changing between the two classic rock stations?

I get the feeling that most of this disaffection isn't with the bands themselves, but the stupid corporate radio station programmers who think that if two plays per hour is good, then six is better!

Keep in mind that radio is run by a small number of "media corporations," such as Clear Channel Communications. These corporations typically dictate playlists, rotations, even on-air patter. It's pathetic, and is one of the reasons that a relatively new genre of stations, such as "Jack-FM", "Bob Radio" and others like them have become popular: they actually play music and the computer program that randomly selects the next song is much better at it than those suits in the glass offices are.

I thought radio went the way of Demolition Man. Every time I turn it on it's just commercials.

Since just about every "innovative" band in the last 40 or so years has stolen from the Beatles in one way or another, it's hard to understand why so many younger people don't like them. They've been hearing Beatles' stuff in rehashed, over amplified, screamed at the top of the lungs, and otherwise distorted forms their whole lives...
