Apple.com, twitter, second life, worldofwarcraft.com, and other sites don't work for me this morning. NN (duh), everquest2, google, microsoft, and a bunh of others do.

It's a known Comcast problem, they upgraded their DNS servers last night, but now I can't get on half the 'net. Anyone else seeing this?

Just change your DNS servers to use OpenDNS. OpenDNS | Providing A Safer And Faster Internet

Much faster and better than standard ISP DNS.

Clicking on opendns.com doesn't work.

EDIT: nor does 208.67.219.99

Something's not right, and it's happening all over the eastern seaboard.

Their servers are

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Just input them into your network settings and/or your router.

ok. Like you said, it could be a wider east coast problem. I'm not in that region, and things have been working well for me.

I just checked the Comcast support forums again and it's definitely an East Coast-only issue. People have been trying opendns and other things, but there's an interesting post by someone that said that a traceroute is LOOPING somewhere. Very strange.

Comcast user here on the west coast, and my internet was ridiculously slow last night. Tried to do a speedtest and it wouldn't even download the packet. It's better today, but still a bit laggy.
