It is a strange thing to try and create a shortage of.
Kind of makes sense in a way. It’s a way to carry out an experiment like this, see if it’s actually possible to buy up all available carrots or not, without creating any real havoc. Worst that’ll happen is that others will have to go without carrots for a day or two. Not the end of the world.
They should try it with insulin instead. That would be fun.
