$7000 USD Canon 600mm lens falls into water!

I thought it was a pretty big eye opener, photos of a Canon 600mm f/4 being retrieved from a crocodile infested swamp. Apparently, the guy was shooting from a bridge, with the 600 on a monopod with a 2x teleconvertor. The head snapped, with the lens hitting the concrete bridge, then rolling off, straight into the water! This all occured in Florida, the lens I believe was a rental one.

If it had been the spammer OP's camera and lens, I'd have said "sucks to be you, eh?" Since it was just a not-quite-nonsense post so's he could post his spammy badness, then I'll say "Good work, Cold Warrior!" Well done man!
