While sitting here pondering nothing in particular, it occurred to me how similar the Simpson's Ned Flanders is to Red Dwarfs Talkie Toaster.

They both annoyingly greet you with Howdly Doodly (or some variation there of).

Could it be that Talkie was purchased at some future leftorium?

I want to get the MacNN view of things: Which do you like better? Which was funnier? Would any one like some toast?
What, me worry?

I've not seen Talkie Toaster, but it's hard to imagine a better satirical character than Ned Flanders.

Flanders is usually a different kind of annoying. I didn't see that particular RD episode. Did the polo mallet win? I hope?
