It's been about 20 years since I saw some of my friends from college. My roomie and I have been in touch since school, but a lot of our crew split and went our separate ways. A friend of mine from the newspaper staff posted a boatload of pictures from college, tagging all of us on Facebook and this week has been nothing but emails, phone calls, and lots of stories about college. I just got back from lunch with my friend Ilene and we had a blast just telling stories about school, who did what with whom (!) and we just had a great time.

So my point to this post is that if you have any friends from school, go find them. Now.

This year we're planning a BBQ at my house (I'm in between where everyone lives), a trip to the Ren Faire, and homecoming at college this October.

Hmm, I heard only evil can come of old college friends - old girlfriends wanting to ruin your new relationships, etc.

Agreed, the past is evil. Nothing but people that want something from you.

Edit: That's not really how I feel at all. I keep in touch with all my friends from high school and it's been over 25 years. We were very close and still are even though we all live hundreds, and in a couple of cases, thousands of miles apart. As a matter of fact, only one person stayed in the town we grew up in. We are now in 3 different countries and 5 different states in the U.S.

I only kept 1 collage friend and I almost never talk to her since she moved to China.

I have lots of close high school friends though which I think is even cooler.

Ok, so I'm not sure if you're serious, but let me ask you: Why do you think that high school friends are cooler than college friends ? Did your college suck ?
