This just arrived in my mailbox: Leopard's Getting Better All The Time - The Complete Take on Leopard

"After three months with Apple's Mac OS X Leopard Version 10.5, I have three main things to say about it. First: Despite minor problems, it's by far the best operating system ever written for the vast majority of consumers. . ."

Pretty high praise from a PC oriented publication.

Wow, I remembered they really railed on Leopard when it first came out. Obviously something's changed for them. Still, I know some hard core PC users who like Leopard better than Vista...

Unlike Vista, at least Leopard will get fixed.

What's amusing is windows 7 has been 'officially' announced before 10.6, even though we know the later will be out way before the former.

Ah, windows.

The new version of Ubuntu is out now too as of Thursday, with some nice new features...

Features | Ubuntu Desktop Edition

If you know some Windows users that are not happy with Windows, and don't want to buy a Mac/new hardware, I suggest trying to boot their machine off the Ubuntu live CD. If their hardware is detected just fine, a switch might be in order. For basic computing tasks (e.g. word pro, web/email, etc.) Ubuntu is worth taking a look at.

On a semi-related note, I nearly have the entire office switched to Mac, and it only took 5 years.

Some of the features in Leopard are what sold everyone to finally switch too.

There's a Christianity joke/jab to be had there, but I can't quite formulate it.

Bring it on, but don't force it. Just let it flow.

Every version of OS X since Tiger has been good for my mom. If my mom can get by on it, most people shouldn't have any complaints. I'm so glad that more people are moving to Macs, I hope soon the platforms will be more on par so that Microsoft will continually have less and less power to force people to do things.
