I just purchased Transformers for $14.99 on iTunes, so if you been wanting to buy it now here your chance. Fox and Paramount are experimenting with Day & Date Downloads with DVDs Release Dates to see how it goes! They may even start it on all movies especially after the success of Transformers, Shooter and Juno.

Link Fixed! If you got iTunes it should open up!

"Bumblebee, stop lubricating the human!"

After watching this movie, I knew how that guy felt when the Transformer peed on his head.

After watching this movie I learned that robots are creepy voyeurs that don't mind having teenagers make-out on them.

Back in 2001 or 2002, one of my friends bought the then-recently released DVD box set of the Transformers cartoon series. I have to say, viewing it as an adult, some of the episodes that I saw had some of the most overtly homoerotic scenes I've seen in a while. It was...uncomfortable.

"Prince Adam, He-Man's alter ego, is a ripped Nordic pageboy with blinding teeth and sharply waxed eyebrows who spends lazy afternoons pampering his timid pet cat; he wears lavender stretch pants, furry purple Ugg boots, and a sleeveless pink blouse that clings like saran wrap to his pecs. To become He-Man, Adam harnesses what he calls "fabulous secret powers": His clothes fall off, his voice drops a full octave, his skin turns from vanilla to nut brown, his giant sword starts gushing energy, and he adopts a name so absurdly masculine it's redundant. Next, he typically runs around seizing space-wands with glowing knobs and fabulously straddling giant rockets. He hangs out with people called Fisto and Ram Man, and they all exchange wink-wink nudge-nudge dialogue: "I'd like to hear more about this hooded seed-man of yours!" "I feel the bony finger of Skeletor!" "Your assistance is required on Snake Mountain!""

It's pretty hard to miss.

And she may well be. Fox versus Alba, anyone care to take up that debate?

I for one am not particularly impressed by Fox. Fantastic body, but the face leaves a lot to be desired (and personally, I find something about the features whorish).

Wow, seriously? Her tats make her look a little skankish, but other than that I say she's smoking hot. But perhaps my view is influenced by Transformers. I think there's an unconscious calculation going on in my head that says if LeBouff could get her (in film fantasy world) then I could, too.

She's definitely doesn't have a face that screams "innocent" (as, say Hayden P. has) and I agree some of her pictures look skanky, but you could say that about nearly every girl in the media spotlight.

To be fair, the awful music really overshadowed everything, but I found the misutilization of Eric Idle, along with the callous systematic elimination of the first generation Transformers a bit much to bear.

Otherwise, the voice cast is amazingly stellar.

I have no problems with the music. The two Stan Bush songs ("The Touch" and "Dare") are classic and the score is pretty good.

Idle got to voice a whole planet of robots. I'm guessing you didn't like the effect on his voice? I thought it was fine. As for the callous systematic elimination of the first-gen TFs, that one of the best parts! As an 8-year-old watching his favorite cartoon characters on the big screen, I was shocked and awed by mainstays like Prowl, Brawn, and Ironhide being killed in the opening scene. Watching Arcee drag the faded, lifeless body of Windcharger, the first TF I ever owned, was a moment that stuck with me. I'm also glad that we got to see actual closure of the Megatron/Prime story. The fact that both returned later doesn't diminish how great that battle was.

Otherwise, the voice cast is amazingly stellar.
Yep.

It was such an awful wanna be 80s score. Reminded me of Dio meeting a bunch of the crappy ballad bands. Hearing it made me want to stuff my ears with paper, douse them with gasoline, and set them aflame.

Partially, but more that it was so hokey and gibberish-y. Not to mention his character seemed to have IQ on par with a 5th grader.

We are talking about this on a re-viewing 20 years later, right? The movie was fantastic when I was 9, too, but it has not held up to time.

We'll have to agree to disagree here. I love it.

Well, I'm certainly no fan of Wreck-Gar as a character, but he doesn't bother me.

Actually, I think it holds up really, really well. I just re-watched a few months ago. The series itself is pretty pedestrian and hokey, but the movie is still a masterpiece IMO. The story has enough twists and turns to keep it interesting, there's real drama (the death of Optimus, Daniel thinking Spike died) and comedy (the Decepticon war aboard Astrotrain, Starscream dumping Megatron, Galvatron destroying Starscream, the long-awaited cassette battle between Soundwave and Blaster), and great action. My only two complaints are that (1) the other combiners (Stunticons, Aerialbots, Combaticons, and Protectobots) are missing and (2) the movie left the Decepticons completely crippled. Call it a big commercial all you want, but I think they managed to pull it off magnificently. Of course, it's obvious we disagree.

I'm afraid covered nipples are allowed, even though they offend some sensitive Evangelists such as yourself. Sex baaaad. Even when there isn't any except in your dirty little head. Now go pray to God for forgiveness
