State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles

Senate lawmakers in Florida have voted to ban the fake bull testicles that dangle from the trailer hitches of many trucks and cars throughout the state.

Critics of the ban included the Senate Rules Chairman, Sen. Jim King, a Jacksonville Republican whose truck sported a pair until his wife protested.

Have you ever seen these? I have and I must admit I thought they were good for a quick chuckle, albeit in a Hey-I'm-a-redneck-and-proud-of-it-with-my-testicularly-endowed-SUV sort of way.

Even the bill's sponsors admit it's a non-story and basically something they did on an off-day for a laugh.

Good argument for a part-time legislature.

I saw a pair in Texas once--had to look twice before I realized what they were. I have to admit I laughed out loud.

I'm waiting for the day when I see a pair on a cab in Brooklyn.

Thankfully, all other problems confronting the great state of Florida have been solved.

More laws, that's what we need. How about enforcing the ones we already have on the books?

It takes balls to post this kind of thread.

They might be in somewhat bad taste, but on the other hand, they're also good for a laugh and the last thing we need is more legislation over a silly matter like this.

While I considered it kind of base to have them on a truck, I think its an incredible waste of time to to legislate what we can and cannot have on our vehicles. We have more important problems in this country instead of worrying about things like this.

So, they gonna ban the real things that hang from the back of a bull too?

Maybe we can start putting bull-boxers on them?

I think truck balls are stupid. Here in San Antonio, they show up on a certain kind of "man's" truck. He's an aggressive driver, and those I've seen depart such vehicles tend to be less socially adept (he said with tongue in cheek) than your average boor. In other words, the ones I've seen here are high order jerks.

What's the message here? "My truck has huge testicles"? So? You don't drive that truck as if it has anything but a gas pedal, so why are you proud that it's more of a lethal weapon than a vehicle?

Not that I have any strong feelings about the issue, mind you. But my overall impression of these people is that they are shallow people from the shallow end of the gene pool.

I hear ya.

My thing is those giant 24" wheels that a "certain kind of person" has on their car.
