It looks like a cheap off-strip Vegas hotel trying to look nice. Money can't buy everything, obviously.
Theater's nice, but if money is no object, I'd 've just made it an IMAX with retractable top and bottom curtains for 70mm.

I read about that when I was in New Delhi a 6 or 7 weeks ago. The company, Reliance, is huge. Reliance has gas stations, grocery stories, a wireless phone/internet network. I'm sure they're into a whole lot more. It's also nice to see that much of the labour/materials will be Indian in origin, the money will go a long, long way in that country.

I was going to say it's too clever by half, but it's too clever by 27 halves.

My $2,000,000,000 home would be something more like the Jetsons'.

My only question is why build it in the middle of the city. I'd rather have it on 10,000+ acres of land.

Religion is the race's first (and worst) attempt to make sense of reality. It was the best the species could do at a time when we had no concept of physics, chemistry, biology or medicine. Hitchens.

Hah, me too!
I think it's ugly in my opinion, but I'm not an architect nor do I have a billionaires taste. On the other hand it doesn't look like some billionaires have taste at all.

That is one of the most ugly houses I've ever seen. Looks like the Colorado Springs 1975 DoubleTree hotel, but with more lights.

We have a situation locally that's somewhat similar, although not on as grand a scale. Certain families from an ethnic group in the Balkans (I've forgotten which one at the moment) have been putting up fairly large houses directly on Woodward Avenue, in the West Bloomfield/Birmingham area, which is the wealthiest area in Michigan. Woodward is a very heavily traveled road, and most houses in those communities are on large lots, obscured by well manicured lawns/bushes and trees, or on side roads, set back by long driveways. The local media did a story on these homes a couple of years ago, and several of the family members actually admitted that they put their homes within a few feet of Woodward so that people will know they've "made" it in America.

I'll say that the outside sure doesn't match the inside. The outside could be cool if it was built alongside other boring high rises, but it seems to be the only high rise around (according to render). AWKWARD.
