I'm not quite sure what the title has to do with your subject but why get mad.
Just buy it where it's the cheapest. Apple is known to mark up their ram, so I don't get angry, I just buy it somewhere else. That's the joy of capitalism

A markup is one thing. Factory fitted RAM is another thing. Charging nearly three times the price for the same product is taking the piss.
I've only ever bought one Apple computer, but I know not to order extra RAM or a larger hard drive from the Apple store.

Just NEVER buy more than the default amount of RAM from Apple. ALL of their RAM upgrades are priced ridiculously. Everywhere. Buy your upgrade RAM from someone who wants your business and be done with it.

Even the HDD upgrades are outrageously overpriced. Hell, when my sister bought her 7200 a million years ago she knew this.
