10.5.3 also has a Safari tweak for a hole for some vulnerability M$ has.

I thought it was standard operating procedure for Microsoft to issue warnings for software (including it's own) installed for Windows.

"Microsoft advises against using software which downloads files without prompting the user."
I don't care who makes the software, that's a pretty reasonable advisory. Given the underhanded way Safari was installed on many systems as a QuickTime update, even more reason to lump it down there with malware.

Yep. Apple totally deserves this, given the deceptive means by which Apple got Safari onto many computer, the fact Safari has a fairly significant security hole, their arrogance in stating that they are in no rush to fix the problem, and all of the Apple ads claiming how much more secure Apple software is.

And the way Apple puts QuickTime and iTunes back on your desktop and your quick launch without prompting every single time you update them.
Seriously, Apple is the model for how NOT to create cross-platform software.

This is a war of attrition. I admire Apple's tactics.
I for one hope Apple is working on a way to include OS X in their Software Update in Windows.
Just imagine... You install an iTunes update and you're prompted to restart Windows. Upon reboot you're greeted by an OS X Transition screen notifying you that your hard drive is being wiped of Windows system files and your user files are being migrated to a new OS X Home directory.
