Between 8 and 9am on Saturday morning Hong Kong got 145mm of rain (a record amount), the government issued a black rainstorm warning and told everyone to stay at home.

Lucky we did as this on Sunday we noticed this had happened:

Yes! One of the above...are you in the valley?
I saw the fire engines on on Saturday, a couple of people were killed by another landslide at the same time.

I am still in the mid levels just below Robinson. I guess I am too used to being able to walk to the office within 10 minutes. I did look at some flats in your street a few years back should have bought one then ~

Central Iowa is getting some flash floods as well. In a matter of a couple hours, the camp that I worked at last summer went from dry to this:

There have been rivers flooding with housing falling in to them here in Wisconsin.

Yes, I made about 30% in 12 months during the great 2007 Happy Valley boom.

Those were the real boom years here. You were here 7 years, so you could apply for PR status if you have not already done so!
