had a call this morning from a company offering remote support tools for IT. The demo seemed pretty smart and ran nice and fast. The sales guy on the other end was running Vista on his machine. Leopard on my Mac. All good.

So he tries to take me to a few websites of companies using their tools. MS Exploder repeatedly fails to connect to teh intarweb.

"Bloody Vista. I hate it so much" - quote from salesman "It always does this!!"

Cue directing me to type in urls on my end.

Quick laugh at PC users expense from my end.

It's kinda funny that the actual salesman said this.

I have to use a large, noisily whirring PC with Windows at work and I too hate it so much.

On campus we have pretty nice Dells with movable flat screen monitors and they're nice to look at. But I always end up locking them up after 15-20 mins of actual work on them. Since I got my Macbook I always bring it to school with me and do my work that way.

To be fair, when my old school (university of maryland) installed all new G5s in the computer lab they were amazingly unstable and I could get them all to kernel panic or crash in a few minutes.

Reason #2 today that indicates you need a new, more enjoyable job.
