If so, why?

I just read this review from Harry at Ain't it Cool News:
Harry says, 'If **** Got THE LOVE GURU On It, **** Would Wipe It Off!' -- Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

I had absolutely no interest in seeing this movie, but after reading that it sounds like it could be one of those movies that is so incredibly terrible that it could be fun to go see and make fun of the entire time (MST3K style).

All glory to the hypnotoad.

My favorite line from the New York Times review:

"So it’s not that I object to the idea of, say, witnessing elephants copulate on the ice in the middle of a Stanley Cup hockey match, or seeing a dwarf sent flying over the same ice by the shock of defibrillator paddles. But it will never be enough simply to do such things. They must be done well."

"One ticket to Washington, please. I have a date with destiny."

I thought this line from the LA times, while not as well constructed as it would be in the NYT, is a devastating observation.

"The reality belied by this cunning visual trick [Myers face on the body of a 12-year old] is quite the opposite of what we are shown. In truth, the Canadian-born Myers is a pubescent kid trapped in the body of a 45-year-old man."

Yeah I have no interest in seeing this movie, not even renting. I'm not that big of a Michael Meyers fan as it is.

I'll have to rent it at least sooner or later, mainly because they filmed it close to where I live, not because I have any real desire to see the actual movie.

The only reason I would see this movie is because of Justin Timberlake.

I cannot believe Mike Myers would make such trash. Isn't Austin due for another round?

Three Austin Powers movies was one too many.

I don't have any desire to see The Love Guru. From the trailers, it looks like Myers was trying too hard to re-create the magic of Austin Powers.

Justin was very good. He looks to have a future in acting.
