I get the impression that it was the kind of thing you'd only feel in a building, but still obviously packing quite a wallop at 1,800 km away.

In searching for an answer, I did however learn that one of Taiwan's satellites is named FORMOSAT.

Which is friggin' genius.

Ha! My google-fu is strong.

The quake was also felt in Taiwan at around 2:38pm yesterday. It measured 1.0 and lasted for about two minutes.
