the teenager jumped the fences to retrieve a hat he lost
So he found the hat, but no longer has a head to wear it?

How ironic.

I'm going to take a wild guess that the cause of death will be determined to be rapid removal of the head.

The question to be answered is probably whether he was intoxicated.

Humor aside, what a tragic event. Being a parent, I can see how this must be such a nightmare for them. They shouldn't be outliving their kids and to die from such a stupid decision makes it all the more painful I suppose.

I believe the autopsy would be performed on the head, not the body.
Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

On both. If alcohol was involved, you wouldn't know from the head.

Plus, question is how much of the head is left.

I'm just curious as to how this happened. How hard is it to recon through the trusses to make sure the freaking roller coaster is not coming when you make a dash for your hat?

I'm guessing he was drunk or showing off. Poor kid.

This story is horrible, but the one at the bottom of the article scares me a bit more, because the girl whose legs were amputated wasn't doing anything stupid...she was just on the ride.

I love roller coasters, but...

Or the roller coaster came faster than he thought. Some rides will go slow for a while and then suddenly pick up speed, so maybe it was a ways off when he decided to make the dash.

You're about 99 times more likely to die or be horribly maimed on your drive to the amusement park.

I'll take my chances with Batman.

I made up the number, but surely you know that automobile deaths are leaps and bounds ahead of deaths by amusement park?

Yes, but automobile use is leaps and bounds ahead as well. If I recall correctly, car deaths are also more common than deaths by shooting, but I don't think anybody would argue that getting shot at is safer than driving. (Well, unless you're my dad. Then it's probably a toss-up.)

Here we go...
"Everything's so clear to me now: I'm the keeper of the cheese and you're the lemon merchant. Get it? And he knows it.
That's why he's gonna kill us. So we got to beat it. Yeah. Before he let's loose the marmosets on us."

That's damn tragic. If I look back at my life there have been a number of occasions where I could have died because I made stupid decisions. Thankfully I have been lucky so far.
