I can't help but feel totally corrupted, beyond what I am already, listening to this song. I imagine myself doing arm pull ups in my studio apartment with a German Gothic House Frau serving me beer, among other things.

If you have not listened to it, go listen and come back and tell me you are not slightly "engaged".

Link to iTunes teaser:

Full Song on YouTube... PLEASE BLACK YOUR SCREEN AND JUST LISTEN FIRST without watching to see if your imagination sort of mirrors... mine... The song is not as good watching the Video:

"Corrupted"? "Engaged"?

Please tell me that you're not on about getting a chubby listening to Rammstein.

Anyways... ...Best ever. Love that song.

No nothing like that... just kind of unexplainably fired up.

Sounds sort of like lots of OTHER Ramstein songs. Not very original.
He can be fixed -- you can't.

My main problem with Rammstein. I used to be all about them, but really every song is exactly the same.

Which is why you should only really buy two Rammstein albums and fill out your collection with Manowar.

One was enough for me.

Dunno about Manowar, I've got plenty of Iron Maiden though, which I know you approve of.

Oh yes. Can't fault Maiden. Except for maybe that little stint with Bayley. Up the Irons, etc..

Ramstein is really just Laibach lite. If you like Ramstein, check out Laibach.

YouTube - Laibach - Geburt Einer Nation

Laibach was doing it first, and they take themselves a lot less seriously.

And Manowar rocks. Those guys crack me up. I have a bunch of their songs and every time one shuffles it's way to my iPod, it brings a smile to my face.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Three reasons why I don't like Laibach:

1) They take themselves a lot less seriously.

2) Absence of power chords.

3) I'm not really a big fan of leftist art collectives trying to do irony. Might as well piss in a bucket yourself.

If you like 'em, you like 'em. Not for me, although I do like a couple individual tracks.

Eh, the new album from Rammstein has some original sounding stuff on it. (Wo bist du, Sirb nicht vor mir [A Rammstein love song? Really?], and Te Quiero Puta!)

But Rammstein is supposed to be angry German metal, why mess with the formula?

Lad, you must be kidding, right?! Manowar is even worse! I really like to listen to my Manowar stuff every now and then but their song diversion is even more limited than Rammstein's...

PB.

Of course I'm kidding. I only ever listen to one Manowar song. It's all I need.

I like that song. I have been to two Rammstein concerts, one 11 years ago and one two years ago, and the just have a damn entertaining show. I believe the music is rather "safe", they know what works. But I heavily doubt that they take themselves too serious. I've watched some interviews from their last DVD "Völkerball", and they make some quite funny statements about themselves.

Music/Entertainment for the easily amused on a very hight level, IMHO. Nothing more, nothing less.

Besides people getting into these pedantic discussions and pointing faults in Rammstein, who actually likes the song and what does it do for you? If not this song, does another song do something similar to you, as Ich Will does for me?

I love the song. And it makes me want to invade Poland.

Damn it's funny how on this version the lead singer or whoever says in the little preamble: "This album kicks f**king ass as you're gonna find out when we come back TO ROCK JAPAN!!!!"

Seriously, all the links in this thread are to some of the worst, hammiest, most risible stuff I have ever seen or heard.

I'm ****ing 35 and this stuff still fuels me. I listen to a lot more "chill" music than I used to, but this stuff still gets my blood pumping. There was a probably 12 year period where I didn't see a show that was larger than the one in the first link. Those were some great years.

Converge 'last light'. The breakdown at the end is ****ing sick.
YouTube - ~Converge~Live~Last Light~

Dillinger Escape Plan '43% burnt'. Back when they had Dmitri on vocals. He was the ****ing man. The whole band was a killing machine back then. They're not quite as good to me now.
YouTube - the dillinger escape plan - 43% burnt (live)

Cursed - random live set. These guys can't be properly recorded with any modern technology.
YouTube - cursed live @ chain reaction pt 1

Walls of Jericho 'a little piece of me'. I love this breakdown, too. This band is my workout jamz.
YouTube - Walls Of Jericho - A Little Piece Of Me - Live In Toronto

I could go on for days.

Heh. I went to see Manowar on their tour last year, and it was pretty funny.

The first set was ALL about Spinal Tap in a big way - "You! with the big tits, white top - get up here!".

The second set was the epic bit, with swordfights and rain and thunder and dying Vikings and massive pyro and the whole bit. Pretty cool.
