will it work fine in my macbook?

and will i see a big difference in speed vs 1

my parents are here wanting to order something for my birthday this is all i can come up with. other suggestions welcome need to be around $100 or less

I have used Kingston RAM and it works fine.
There will definitely be an improvement with 4GB vs. 1GB.

great thanks, now i am undecided between photoshop elements 6 which my parents can get locally or the ram. Decisions Decisions
