I would be happy with some pornography on television. Why not?

The greatest broadcasting blunder? Probably the reruns of "Growing Pains"

"Desperate Black Wives II"

Yeah, that was a blunder. The sequel is never as good as the original.

Here, I thought this would be discussing Britney Spears being on tv. Oh well.

"i'm outraged. my eight-year old boy was watching and it has ruined his innocence" this was hard core"

"my 12 year old sister saw it and was running around with her hands covering her eyes saying ewwwww and gross"

"i couldn't believe my eyes. I was watching my husbands footy and then suddenly there was something called Desperate Black Wives II. It left little to the imagination"
The viewer comments were my favorite

Good job they didn't do that in Scotland. 10 years in the clink for "causing someone to hear or see sex when they didn't want to" now.

Thayse piiple’s riections ere ridiculous. Sorry, damn Kiwi speech taking over there.

Seriously—what eight-year-old doesn’t know what pornography is? Sure, it’s unfortunate that rugby gets pr0nified, but come on. “Ruined his innocence”? I’ve yet to see an innocent eight-year-old.

What an unfortunate life you must live. I'd say 90% of the 8 year olds in our community have never seen any sort of pornography, and do not know even what it is. I'm glad I live where kids can remain kids for as long as possible.

In the US they would have been fined a LOT of money. It is inexcusable... 3.5 minutes?? Sheeshe, after 5 seconds someone should have caught it and cut the feed.

What about when Geraldo gave away our troops' positions, then started explaining their attack strategy on TV.

I can't really agree with that either. Kids shouldn't be forced to grow faster than they are ready to do (and this applies to a lot more than sex), but I'm not sure how seeing pornography is necessarily unfortunate or means that you can't be a kid anymore. Is the moment you realize that the woo-woo goes in the hoo-hoo so powerful that you suddenly become a mature adult in that instant?

So a child with no sex drive is suddenly going to develop one — and a strong, insatiable one at that — just because he learned about sex? I'm not sure I buy that. There are too many parents who are honest with their children about sexuality and yet the children don't become raging sex maniacs.

I was very distressed by full grown men marching in dresses blowing their bags. I have lost my innocence.

Never? Not once?

I didn’t watch porn when I was eight, but of course I’d come across it. It’s not really possible not to, somehow or other. This might well be just general differences in the way society works, but I don’t think you’d come across many eight-year-olds here who don’t know what porn or sex is. They won’t understand it, of course, but they’ll recognise it for what it is.

Well, that was a nice little piece of judgment-passing. I actually consider my life rather fortunate on the whole, thank you. And being aware of what porn was when I was eight didn’t really in any way stop me from remaining a kid, nor did it turn me into a raving sex maniac.

I have to agree, though, that someone at the station must surely have realised this sooner than three and a half minutes in. It was inappropriate, and they should have just cut the signal altogether as soon as they realised it, not waited three minutes—or, if it really took them that long to even notice, they need to keep a better watch-out on what they’re airing.
