Didn't know where to put this, so I figure this is as good as any.

I note that Y! mail has IMAP support... for the iPhone. However, I can't see any option anywhere for IMAP on the Y! help pages. Is this a special thing for the iPhone?

I discovered this last year, but it didn't work for me. It just asked for my username and password over and over again.

I am not sure, but I think you need the paid version of Yahoo! mail for IMAP access. It may be in another section related to paid Yahoo! mail to avoid confusion.

I am using the paid version of Yahoo! Mail--AT&T Yahoo is my ISP--and as far as I know, there is no IMAP available to us. Only iPhones have access to Yahoo! IMAP mail, as far as I know.

Also, I believe the iPhone version has push mail for Yahoo.

Yes, that too. So as it stands, I get better email support on my phone than on my desktop computer.

I'm glad it's free though. Well "free" as in a $300 phone after subsidization with a $30 data plan. I wonder if Apple is paying Yahoo! a significant wad of cash for this service.
