Took long enough to catch up with them.
I ended up dropping Comcast because of this. No, I do not download music and movies, a group of us used torrents to pass around a game module we would work on. Since the file is almost a gig in size, it made the most sense to do it this way. When I switched over to Comcast, I was blocked from doing so. They said they only delayed the traffic but was a crock. They actually blocked it. When I called Comcast about it, the guy I talked to said he didn't have a problem with torrents and suggested I upgrade to the fastest connection. Sure.

A very important ruling. I hope it stands up in court.
And it's amazing that they continue to say they didn't block or delay.

If I were the FCC, I'd get them under oath and then have them discuss it. The possibility of contempt of court or perjury charges might also put these losers in line.
I've made it a point to avoid Comcast since learning about this last year (having been a victim myself of the blocking), and I mention it to anyone who has a choice between Comcast and another ISP.

I wonder is ordinary citizens can sue comcast? Sounds like an easy class-action.

I don't understand. You have problems with certain kinds of traffic through AT&T wireless? As in your phone (iPhone?)? I've seen issues with text messages that don't show up in a timely manner, but I don't see it as a "certain traffic" issue.

Id rather comacast block such garbage as flash and bloated websites than this, thats whats really drawing all the extra bandwidth. Why are otherwise simple websites becoming so damn complicated and bloated? what happened to simple html? Loading a website now days on cable takes just as long as it did 10 years ago on dial up.

A secure VPN would get around this, correct?

Aside from the fact that P2P does tend to suck up lots of bandwidth, I don't see a real reason for them to even suggest that this is something they should do anything about. It's stupid.

I'd think so. If the carrier can't tell what's in your packets, how can they block them?
