I prefer mine yellow with a few brown spots. My wife likes them green with a little yellow. As a compromise we buy two bunches when we go grocery shopping now, one for her and one for me. Which was fine until she started trying to indoctrinating the kids into this blasphemous taste preference.

How about you?

Wow, I never thought I'd live to see the day you failed at creating an obvious poll.

Also, I don't eat bananas.

Dude. you're quick-draw posting beat my poll-creation/finishing skills. I was still creating the poll options when you posted. You are good!

Oh, and it's public, enjoy!

Looks like we'll need another poll. I suggest creating it during non-office hours so you can finish before Dakar posts in it.

Odd, it usually says poll even before the poll is up. But I'm not certain of this.

Alas, no. We don't have cable/satellite.

But I have seen that episode, and I often bring up Alton Brown's preferences as a solid argument for avoiding green on a banana. This is the only path where she and Alton part ways. Me, I drink the Alton Brown kool-aid.

Yellow with a hint of green at either end.

Preferably sliced into cereal, yum!

Really? Mmm, bananas... America's favorite fruit.

I'm also gonna have to go with Alton Brown on this one.

This is one of the few foods that I actually look for the organic variety. And plain yellow for me since the organic ones go brown so quickly.

It doesn't matter what shape the banana is in. I can still use them to lure those new-found gorillas out of the jungle so I can *PER-KOW* the mangy devils.

I once ate a frozen banana piece from a whole banana that had been dipped in liquid nitrogen.

I loved banana popsicles when I was young. Don't know if you can still get them, but this thread is making me want to run down to the market and try and find them. I don't really care for bananas themselves. I think the texture bothers me, as with most fruits. I like fruit juices, but not many fruits whole. Apples would be my favorite, but this is a banana thread, so I'll not say anymore about that.

I just got a private message from a moderator saying that what I wrote in this thread offended some people. I would like to apologize for that. As a scientist we are always comparing objects to other objects. That is a part of science. So that was the first thing that came to my mind.

I apologize for offending people.
