Yeah, the penis-shaped slide thingie is not great but I think there are plenty of things to make a playground worse than visually suggestive slides. For example, the playground in the park near my sister's house* has all their equipment placed on bare concrete pads. That's right, the jungle gym and see-saws and swings are placed on bare concrete so if a kid falls off they are going to land right on bare concrete.  That makes taking the kids to the park a bit of a nerve-wracking endeavor.
*She lives in the nicest part of a small, poor rural town in south-central Ohio so my rant is in no way intended be broad-brushed. Just my take on what makes a playground worse than having a penis-shaped slide thingie.
