I need a recommendation for a video sharing site. There are so many and I find it exhausting to try and test each one myself, so I thought I'd ask my fellow MacNNers for an opinion. My needs are as follows: - It doesn't have to be free.
- I want to make simple edits to my movies online.
- If it's Mac-friendly, so much the better.
- FTP access would be a big plus.
- Generous filesize and time limits, or none at all.
I could host the films on my own website, but I'd like a solution that's easier and is less prone to error.

I was about to scream YouTube at you, but never mind.

Or how about a really weird (or stupid) game: Nesen Probe, it's also free.

Has anyone used Flickr for video? Limits;
If you’re a pro member, your account has unlimited bandwidth and storage space. This includes video content.
But! Individual video files must be smaller than 150MB in size. (That should be more than enough for 90 seconds worth of video.)
...
We’ve instituted what might seem like an arbitrary time limit for video playback on Flickr: 90 seconds.
You can still upload a video that’s longer than 90 seconds, but only the first 90 seconds will play.
Smugmug, although it has unlimited storage, has a lot of limits on video. They also allow ANY type of file to be uploaded and shared: http://www.smugmug.com/help/video
Power $60/yr and Pro $150/yr users can add videos to their galleries:
Power Users can upload DVD? quality video clips up to 2.5 minutes in length.
Pros can add stunning HD? video up to 5 minutes in length - 10 min. at DVD? quality. HD videos between 5 and 10 minutes are automatically rendered in DVD quality, ...

I'm not particularly picky about those two issues.

Slightly off-topic, but Google has opened up Picasa's web albums to videos. I haven't tried it yet and I don't think it meets #2 & #4 (and possibly #5) on your list. Anyway, I will give it a shot as I'm looking to get away from Mobile Me.

I would simply use my webhost, Server Logistics, for this, but they are limited to QuickTime Streaming Server and once you've uploaded a video you can't edit it live on the server but have to edit it using a local client (like iMovie) and then re-upload. That's a problem with a lot of potential solutions.
