Or something similarly related to my atrocious ergonomics.

I'm excited because my thumb feeling like it's asleep all the time probably isn't:

A brain tumor.
Heart disease.
Diabetes.

So, share the little thrills you get from being a hypochondriac.

I think that's a pinched nerve. What does Wikipedia say about CT?

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

I was getting problems with my right elbow. So, I switched my mice for all my computers to the left side of the keyboard.

It was hard at first, but now I'm used to it.

Usually, the best solution for overuse syndromes is to stop using. Go see a doc, but it does indeed sound like it could be carpal tunnel. In the meantime, stop using that hand as much as possible.

That's how I'm diagnosing myself.

I've changed things up a bit and it's more or less gone away. I'm guessing that angling my wrist differently wouldn't have much effect on a tumor.

You should still go see a doc though.

That was going to be my "I'm pretty sure I have goiters" thread.

Where do I send the check for that setup?

It goes hand in hand with CT, though. I got it from using powerbook keyboards back in the old days (and the keyboard on a Compaq 286). Best advice for either: switch up a lot. Don't use the same mouse, keyboard, etc. for more than a couple of days at a time.
He can be fixed -- you can't.

I thought I might have until I switched to a trackball, then the symptoms went away.

Now, speaking of self-diagnosis, I've had every disease in the book thanks to WebMD!

You know how when you hold a pen or pencil on a regular basis, you develop a small callus on your middle finger where it presses into the side of the writing utensil?

I noticed that callus one day (it used to be a LOT bigger, back when I was in primary school and couldn't type everything) when I was like 12.

I thought I had a tumor in my finger and I was going to die.

Yeah. I'm retarded.
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...

If you switch hands correctly, you can (no sh*t) GAIN A STROKE.
