I don't think it's possible. The RIAA has an endless cash flow to fund their vendetta against their own consumers.
Incidentally, I finally got back into tonlist.is today. Because the US dollar has changed so much in value, a 99 kr. track is worth about 50 cents. I wish I'd known that back when I bought $40 in music on there.
Interestingly enough, their US site is different from their Icelandic one. Tonlist.com (icelandicmusic.com) only has tracks from Icelandic labels and/or artists, at $1.99 a track. Tonlist.is had tracks from everywhere, at 79 to 99 kr. a track for Icelandic artists and labels, and 199 kr. (about $1.06) for other (e.g. RIAA) labels.
I can only guess that the RIAA got on their case and tried to stop them from selling tracks at a variable rate (since the price of a 199 kr. track changes for US buyers depending on the value of the US dollar). I'd love to see the RIAA taken down. Until that happens, I'm not spending a penny on any of the labels under their umbrella.
