I listened to about half of it. I don't think I care. I consider myself a relatively big fan of appetite, and even enjoyed the big giant crashy songs they did on use your illusion that some people feel ruined the band. There are a few reviews out there that think it's great. Maybe I need to give it another listen.

Chinese Democracy? A bit rushed, if you ask me.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.

I don't even want to bother. I just assume it'll be horrible and will ruin any remaining fond memories I have for Appetite for Destruction.

I find it's very, very rare that an album with so much love, time, pain and effort invested by its creator(s) turns out to be anything put overproduced, over-thought crap.

I'm reluctant to listen.

They're an overrated band with a few great songs, but I'm sure I'll get around to it at some point.

what i've heard so far is pretty good, i would say it would be a lot better if it would of came out years ago, now it just seems with so much time its not as good as it "should" be

I've also listened to about half of it. So far, it sounds horribly overproduced, overtweaked, and musically cluttered. Axl needs Slash and Izzy to keep a leash on his excesses.

But, I'll reserve my final opinion until I've listened to the album a half dozen times.

Honestly, I'm surprised that anyone still cares. You can only keep the hype up for a project for so long.

I am hesitant to listen. I was never that big a fan of Guns 'N' Roses, and the current GNR is bordering on GNR in name only. Velvet Revolver is more Guns 'N' Roses than Guns 'N' Roses.

Funnily enough, that's the impression I get.

Some weird vocal affectations and accents, occasionally inches over into Steinman territory. Not missing Slash as much as expected. When Rose is doing his Rose impersonation he's still quite good with his tomcat-with-constipation vocal stylings.

On the whole, it doesn't suck as much as I expected. Not sure that's saying much though. Like a Chinese knockoff, it initially sounds a lot like a GnR album. Maybe even good enough.

Nah ****it, I can't get past those braids.
