So I got an email about these cool new software. Littlesnapper.

Looking at the webpage, it seems cool. However, what stands out is the word "organise" and "organised".

Maybe it's the programmer's fault. Maybe it's the graphic artists fault. Maybe it's spelled differently in England? Maybe it's a slang?

Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

Check out the company link at the top right of the page. It gives the following information.

Realmac Software Limited
Office 4, 100 North Road
Brighton, BN1 1YE
United Kingdom

In British English spelling "s" is frequently used where a "z" would be used in American English spelling. Nothing wrong here at all.

Well, since no one stepped up to make the "asshole comment" yet, this is the first time you've run into the s substituted for z anywhere on the internet (Hell, on these forums)? Colour me surprized.

Can't think of an amusing retort. +1 to Dakar.

On a more serious note, I think that 'English' spellings will die out since most people who learn English, learn the AmericaniZed version.

If you're going to complain about people's spelling, you might want to watch all those sentence fragments.

They're forum stamps, like those stampers the secret police use on your papers if they don't arrest you. Also called moderator stamps.

The original 4 stamps were made by MrTomServo in 2001. Those got boring after six years with nothing new, so I've been making new ones as needed.

Suppressed pronominal subject (and a missing d) ≠ sentence fragment.

There are three very good reasons why z is pronounced ‘zed’, and not ‘zee’:

1. It increases the difference in pronunciation between c and z (m and n could use a similar differentiator)
2. Unlike most of the letters of the alphabet, which have retained (more or less) the pronunciation the Romans gave the individual letters, z was never an indigenous Latin letter, but was borrowed from Greek ζήτα zēta, which is where ‘zed’ comes from.
3. ‘Zee’ sounds ridiculous.

The context of your post indicates that you meant you had not, until it was pointed out here, realized that realmac is a UK based company.

I never understood the need for people to explain things to me that I will never understand.

I have come to the realization that nothing has been accomplished from this thread.

The tense doesn't make sense? The tense doesn't make sense! Hence, if tenses made sense, then tenses wouldn't make me pensive. But tenses make me pensive and my senses say they make hyteckit tense too.

Edit: Welcome to Dakar posts made in the last half-hour of a brutal day.
