Heavy snow across France, several thousands of homes are still without electricity after 5 days. People are calling EDF a joke and the EDF spokesman is trying to say how much it would cost to bury all the electric lines in France - he quoted 100€ Billion. The newsreader ends the story with : and today EDF decided to pay 3.5€ Billion for some American energy company. Nice to see that they have their priorities right.

I'd laugh if people weren't freezing their nuts and other bits off due to no heating.

France seems to have a problem either with their population being cooked to death or freezing to death. What gives?

Oh come one, stop the whining, it can't be worse than in the Midwest.

Plus, your houses are actually built out of brick or stone, not just paper and wood.
