People bitch and moan about sequels and remakes, but we've all got something that we want more of. For me:

The Professional 2 with Natalie Portman
Alien 5 with Winona Ryder (seriously)
The Odyssey with Sean Bean
Superman with Brandon Routh and Kevin Spacey with more violence

I'd like to see The Honest Courtesan / Dangerous Beauty remade with better historical accuracy.
And I'd like to see a really dark version of Faust.
And a really dark version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Natalie Portman is too short, but I'd like to see a part 2 of Leon - the real name of the film

I'd like to see a remake of the Death Star attack in Star Wars. I though that it was a crime that when the first films were 'remastered' or whatever, they left out the attack.

I'd like to see the other Dune books made into films or a very high quality 12 episode-type mini series (for each book), but in the same style as David Lynch.

I'd like to see a remake of LotR with Ben Stiller playing every character.

Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars.

I know most people are against Lucas remakes because he frequently messes things up... but how much worse could it really get?

It would be interesting to see a remake of "Touch of Evil" set in the present day.

Prior to the Matt Damon "Bourne" trilogy, I would have said a remake of the 1988 miniseries.

I am tired of remakes. They have been making to many of them without real quality.

Seriously. Remakes, reboots and even the recent trend of converting games/comics to film are just crutches for the writers and producers to not have to come up with any new ideas.

Hilarious

There is a fourth movie in the works… for better or worse, cause all the intellectual property now belongs to Electronic Arts.

Uh-huh. Tell that to any Shakespearean drama company.

Some stories are worth retelling. With your attitude, we'd never have Christian Bale as Batman or Edward Norton as the Hulk.

It failed because Queen wasn't doing the soundtrack. Duh.

I'd love to see a big budget movie retelling of the old Dinoriders cartoon, as long as it had some darkness and plenty of realistic violence. Not a kids version remake. Seriously - that would be sweet.

Throw in Angel Season 6 while you're at it, at least the comic is decent.

Me? I may be getting my dream, George R. Martin's epic fantasy series is coming to HBO.

Oh yeah, and I want an Ender trilogy on the big screen.

I agree with...

Dune remake
Firefly continuation
Arrested Development continued (or the movie, if it has to be that way)

And add...

National Treasure 3 (Screw you, I like the movies, and two left you hanging.)
New Pinky & Brain, Freakazoid, Animaniacs material (loved those WB cartoons)
A live-action TMNT movie that doesn't suck.
Jumper sequel
And I've picked my brain about as much as I can right now.
I'm on MacNN forums, but no longer have a Mac...

Seriously? For the first film you could combine Ender's Game w/ Ender's Shadow. It would make for some amazing plot lines, not to mention the mother of all "gotcha" endings. I think it could be amazing.

Those books are so huge... I don't see how you could even condense Enders game nicely into one movie without it being four hours long...

I see it more as a TV series. Not as epic, I know, but it would give it more time for plot development.

I'd like to see a good version (movie or TV) of the Arthurian legends. Especially something based on T.H. White.

You want to see remakes of 1-3? Why not just make 7-9?

Because then you still have really bad episodes 1-3.

I think asking for 7-9 is just asking for trouble. I can imagine so many bad things that could happen. I mean, the logical thing to do would be to make the Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy, but all the actors are older, and you know George Lucas would just write something crazy instead.

Serenity 2 & 3 for our Big Damn Trilogy. Then maybe a prequel trilogy.

Firefly seasons 2 through 15.

Remake the third Matrix film into something that doesn't ruin the franchise.

Star Wars Clone Wars sucks. Here's the tv show I want: Smallville meets Han Solo. Cartoon, live action, I don't care. I wanna see a young Han and Lando smuggling crap and fighting off Storm Troopers, Bounty Hunters, rival smugglers, and big ugly aliens. Seducing green alien babes like Kirk would be a bonus. Oh, and the Millennium f'n Falcon.

On a more serious note, I'd love to see a tv show or movie series on the Hasmonean dynasty. Lots of violence, politics, religion, and a universally-hated villain: Antiochus IV Epiphanes. You can't go wrong with a baddie who thinks he's the son of God.

If they managed to get Watchmen into movie format, I don't think Ender's Game would be a problem. It's basically "Ender goes to Battle School and fights a bunch of people." Card actually wrote a script for an Ender movie, but the movie itself got stuck in production hell.

I think the challenge would be finding a good cast. These are some pretty intense roles, and most child actors really suck.

I think Speaker for the Dead could be a good movie too, though it's not as film-friendly as the first one.

Xenocide and Children of the Mind should be made into movies only if David Lynch can be talked into it, because there's no way a sane director is going to be able to do a film about philotes and aiuas and the feelings of a network of computer signals.

5th Element - Corbin Dallas and Leeloo fight and bicker as they go after Agnots warriors.
Buckaroo Banzai 2 - w/out Ellen Barkin
Big Lebowski - flying high in the '90's. The Dude and Walter hang out with the stranger.
Ronin - together again to kill people and drive crazy
The old, The Bad, and STILL UGLY. Clint, Van Cleef, and the bad guys trying to fit in at an old cow hands home in el Paso.
Men in Black - this time the aliens are leaving cause they can't get jobs.
James Bond - as played by Mike Myers
