For those unfamiliar with tvtropes.org, it's like Wikipedia for the various kinds of tropes in entertainment (not just TV).

What I like about it is that since its fundamental concept is the definition of something that's subjective, I think the "collected knowledge of the internets" idea works better than with something which aims to be objective (like Wikipedia).

What I really like is that I rarely hit a page that isn't literally crammed with links to other entries that I want, want, WANT to read.

Here are a few to get you started. Don't get mad at me if you look at the clock and it's suddenly 8 hours later.

Anyone else annoyed that they've chosen a background for buttons that are almost exactly like the default selection colour in OS X? Fugly.

Do you ALWAYS have to find something not to like about a new thing?

OMG I found them last week (independently) while looking for "Jump the Shark" for a friend. Such a welcome site for those of us who track cliches every day.

Could do without all the Anime crap. I mean who really cares about Anime anyway?

Also, it shows how funny the lack of context can be with the young -- everything is brand new, you know. [Simpsons Did It has some good examples].
He can be fixed -- you can't.

Video games and role playing games are also disproportionally represented.

They're a bit more alphabetically challenged though, so I see where you're coming from.

Love the site, but how the hell they managed to mangle a wiki with that kind of "design" I will never now.
