I had tried running it through midomi.com but all it gave were weird Japanese songs.

Interesting, because I used the Midomi iPhone app and it worked like a charm. What I did notice, though, is that the first time I tried it, I let Midomi sample over the loop, which didn't work. I did it a second time, making sure to only sample a linear portion on the song and it worked perfectly.

I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an old tape recorder, so I played the clip into the recorder and then went to mMdomi and played the recording into my PowerBook's mic!
