...That, and the "Home" the crew of DS9 was primarily responsible for protecting was Bajor, not Earth. There were some plotlines that involved Earth in danger, but only because it's the headquarter planet of the UFP.
Other than that, though, it wasn't bad. DS9 ranks just behind Next Gen for me as my favorite Trek. Maybe even a little ahead of it.
