My best run in that game involved me, a friend, two Alien Blasters, two belt-fed brownings and level 15.

This weekend my wife is working, so I'm going to be doing some (very light) studying for an open-book test, getting my bike out and working off some calories (see above mention of a cruise!), and generally hanging out.

This weekend I'll be vacuuming and cleaning, cleaning and vacuuming.

Turns out a bit of kit I recently bought from Amerika harboured some mites of some description, and now I've got an infestation in the studio.

Lovely.

Isn't it at least comforting that you can always track all the bad and evil back to the US ?

Sitting in the airport, proud that I managed to tether my BB Curve to my laptop and save the $8 wireless internet fee.

Chill tonight, buy a couple Coronas for the friend picking me up. Tomorrow I'm fixing my car. If it kills me. Then taking a 2hr motorcycle trip to meet the fiancée and some of her (hot) friends to go watch Hello Dolly.

Last night made pizza and baked bread in the wood fired oven in my back yard. Friends dropped by, more food appeared, music started and all of a sudden we had a full on dinner/yard party. Nice.

I got my bike ride in before it got too bloody hot. Only 7 miles but I'm out of practice. Felt goooooddddd. So did stopping.

I'm also spending some time working on setting up my wife's and son's new phones. They both got LG VUs, and there are a bunch of features on 'em that either need setup or sort of "should be" set up. Too bad they don't handle generic email though, just a relatively short list of providers.

I have a Specialized RockHopper. Nice hardtail trail bike. While I use it on the street, it really is a solid off-road performer. Once I get back into the swing of pedaling in the first place, I have some off-road trails that are sort of along the way on my street route that I'll be working on.

It was only 80º when I rode about 4 hours ago. Now it's 95 and heading up. And please, nobody tell me "it's a dry heat." Thanks.

Last night we registered at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, then settled down for a movie. Today I'm working on my car. Tomorrow I'm spending time with family then visiting friends at Jesus Camp (we attack in September!).

Last night I went to see a concert at Meadowbrook for the first time, Candlebox and LIve . It was an awesome show.

I'm really impressed with some of the artist they actually have scheduled to play at such a relatively small venue..

On July 11th, I'm going to see The Offspring with Sum 41 there.
Please suggest something to go hear 'cause I'm to lazy to be clever.

I'm still sorting this out. Seem to have figured that it's not the Amerikan gear which they hitched a lift in on - appears to be one of the bits from China.

Lovely.

I went to Wal-Mart with the intent of purchasing some kitty litter, toilet paper, and paper towels. Maybe a 24-pack of Pepsi.

I walked out with a little over $200 in crap I really probably don't need at all. On the way to the grocery store, I remarked to the boyfriend that maybe we should start shopping at small local places - not because I have anything against Wal-Mart, but because I can't impulse by a rug, some underwear, a Wii Fit mat, a cat house, and a variety of other things when I'm buying my toilet paper at a place that only sells toilet paper.

Oh, and we went to Petsmart for cat food and found a cat I'm desperate to adopt...now I just have to convince the boyfriend that a fourth cat really, truly, honestly isn't too many cats under one roof.

.
You must have some awfully specialized stores in your neck of the woods. I can't think of a single place locally that sells only toilet paper. Sure, there's Max's Toilet Tissue and Napkin Mega Emporium, but that's not strictly toilet paper.

Since you're replying to a girl, the bit about "not strictly toilet paper" is hinting at something else that they sell?

I was kidding about a place that sells only TP...but not about how a big box store is conducive to impulse buying, compared to shopping at smaller, local establishments.

This weekend I watched a lot of fun Japanese TV.
Most noteworthy: a very popular show about two women; one who is flat chested, whilst the other is quite mountainous.
It's a comedy called mountain woman/wall woman (yama onna, kabe onna) - the flat chested woman develops a major complex as a result. It's not as sexist as it sounds. It's worse. Well, a little worse. But it's a darn good funny show.

I think Doofy would approve.

Part one/two is available with subtitles for the curious: YouTube - yama onna kabbe onna/english subtitle (part 1) 1

You know, for someone that seems to be such an advocate of personal responsibility, it's funny to see the blame placed elsewhere.

Drink, drink, and drink some more. Boyfriend's friend is coming in from Michigan for the weekend, and I'm pretty sure alcohol consumption is going to be mandatory.

Might geek out a bit, too.
