Some call it a new business model for magazines, some smell failure.

Lexus has teamed with Time to offer this magazine called Mine where you are able to customize the content in order to read what interest you the most.

In a nutshell, you go to mine website and after registering you have to pick five magazines from a total of eight so you'll receive issues with articles from each magazines.
Then there are the Lexus ads, also customized based on the magazines each person chose and the registration responses, I'm sure you already guessed that.

Well, I think there is a place for magazines, but if to become a RSS feed is what's it going to take to save magazines someone better shut down the internet as a precaution.

For me this magazine idea just wouldn't work. I only read two- Soldier of Fortune and Juggs.

It's for people who are Web-savvy but not savvy enough to just read things on the Web, I guess?

For me, there's just something about having print in my hands. I have loads of information available to me on the internet, but there's nothing like going home and picking up the past few months of my Dad's Car and Driver or Mustang and Fords.
Not that the content is particularly spectacular, but the process of sitting down in the recliner, putting my feet up, and reading some actual print is pleasant.
