Many times I have been able to see my very own reflection in Jobs' bald head.

Is the use of 'moble' instead of 'mobile' common in the US ?

Yeah, that's a standard US English pronunciation of mobile - at least as far as the phrase "mobile phone" is concerned - if you're referring to the lack of stress on the i.

Unless you're referring to the city in Alabama, which is pronounced mo-beel.

That's not "common" usage, it's "standard" American English usage. I'd put it more as "mo-bil", but emphasizing the 'i' is a British English thing. We also launch "missles" rather than "miss-isles."

And if Nelson is a "black Steve Jobs," then "Steve" is much better looking now, don't you think?

Funny I don't remember noticing the use of 'moble' when I lived there.

SH1T !! Just realised that its nearly 20 years since I lived in the US. Scary. Seems like yesterday that I was being taught to 'shotgun' a beer from a can.
