I was looking for something that would give me iPhone-like touch scrolling for browsing on my touch-enabled eeePC 701. This works pretty well. I think it'll take some tweaking to make it behave just right, but it's pretty rad.

Might be good for scrolling long pages on those fancypants new trackpads on the MBs an MBPs...

Doesn't sound as easy as two-finger scrolling.

You do know that the newer trackpads do this out of the box, right?

Yeah, I installed one in my eeePC 701 (hence the "touch-enabled" denotation in my OP). It's pretty rox.

How exactly do you 'install' a touch screen?

Are you confusing 'screen' with 'pad'?

You guys do realize that PC vendors have started putting touch screens onto full desktops right?

Oh please. I have enough experience with computer hardware to know the difference between a touch screen and a trackpad.

Pretty much. $45 for the touch panel from DealExtreme, five minutes of installation, thirty seconds of calibration, and there you go.

Totally worth it, btw. I'm putting one in my i-Opener when I'm done upgrading the internals.
