I don't see any banner ads, or ads in general... But I'm sorry to say that this smells like spam.

I'm not going to report it, but I think it should have gone in the lounge.

It's really just a bad title, carterx. Problem is that it's too early for me to be able to think, let alone think up a better title...

AK, I doubt someone with over 300 posts will suddenly just go spammer all of a sudden.

It will not take the new topic name. Was changing it to "My Collection of FREE Mac Apps" Wasn't sure what to put to make it sound less spammy?

For everyone, if you can think of any other apps that should be here, post up here and I will and them to my list. My plan is to keep this up to date fairly often.

Not sure why I thought that was free. Anyways, thanks for the info, already removed from the site and list.

Also, 'flexibit' is actually called cameras, you have the company name over the icon

And I would add Skitch to either the photo section.

It's a Great screenshot utility.

http://www.skitch.com

Sticky windows is also shareware.

All good, been doing a lot with the site and finding a lot of free software so bound to make mistakes. Every bit helps
iMagePhone is free but to get the extra features you need to free but the free one will create the wallpapers. Just not the bonus features.

You can't change the title, but I can. Consider it done.

Have any other suggestions let me know. Going to see about tweaking and adding to my list for "Must Have Student Apps" around the start of Sept.

Well, I basically only use Safari, Mail, iCal and Address Book, but the work you put into this is quite the feat.

Correct. I think I put it in there because I was looking to get it myself. Great if you use a computer at work, home, laptop/desktop etc. and use it with DropBox. You can place the database in your DropBox and have 1Password working on all your computers and be synced.

Thanks. Think the hard part is done with setting up the page and adding everything I had in the Blog. Now it will be easier as I will add to this page when I post in the Blog. So one nice page with all Free Apps that I hope to always have growing.

Also try listing titles centered below the icons. Right now they are either to the right OR above, which looks just weird.

Hmm, Paintbrush isn't listed, ∴ your list fails.

I keed, I keed. Seriously though, that's a pretty helpful list. People often don't realize how many free, high-quality apps are available for the Mac.

Any ramblings are entirely my own, and do not represent those of my employers, coworkers, friends, or species

You should add MacFusion to the File Handling (requires MacFUSE). One of the best and coolest apps out there.

Fugu is also a nice, no-frills SFTP client.

MacFUSE + NTFS-3G allows for NTFS file system read and write. Absolutely must-have utility. There are quite a few file system plugins for MacFUSE in addition to NTFS-3G.

This is probably lame of me, but it'd be cool if you denoted which ones were Intel-only for those of us still on the good ol' PowerPC platform...
For all the trash I talk, I sure own a lot of Macs...
