Sinisterware: SMB Check

Due to a vulnerability, documented here, the SMB2 driver in Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and an early release candidate of Windows 7 it is possible to crash some systems resulting in a BSoD. This is a problem. In order to quickly and easily check your systems for this vulnerability we have created and are released an app called 'SMB Check' for the android platform.
Basically, it's an app for an Android phone that appears to be able to crash many computers running Vista, Server 2008, and 7. Now if only anyone actually had an Android-based phone.

It's Google's phone OS, in case anybody actually doesn't know.

You mean your girlfriend would be pissed if you BSOD'd her PC? I would imagine so.

Hehe, I did that once. Turns out there's a registry key in Windows XP that, when enabled, allows you to force a BSOD with a simple keystroke (something like CTRL-SHIFT-ScrollLock). Pissed her off to no end, but it was funny as hell.

Outside of geek-circles no one actually knows what Android is. And for the record my girlfriend use Macs exclusively
