Take your own advice Mr. "My vehicle was my signature image". Your current signature isn't fooling anybody; you're clearly in denial.

Anyway, looked into it, soft touch won't hold up well, it'll get dirty with brake dust and will be impossible to clean. So. Not doing it. Powdercoating it is.

Installed some of these today:

Hella Supertones. 118db. Very obnoxious tone too. I relayed them using the positive battery terminal under my hood, since my battery is located under the rear seat. So far they've been totally awesome, but I need to clean up the wiring a bit. Right now it's okay, but I'll make it look more OEM when it gets warmer out.

Just test drove a 95 S6 sedan with an MRC stage 2 chip, wow, that thing scoots, also test drove it because it had H&R progressives and bilstein HDs, which is what I'm going to put on in a few weeks. Loved it! Then I got a ride in my buddy's turbo SVX, he just put in a new turbo. WOW. I'm pretty sure it has north of 400hp. It is really, really, REALLY fast.

Out here in Colorado Springs there are two '96 S6 sedans for sale... one is hot rodded and one is completely stock... $4,800 for both. I'm tempted to take a look...

Holy shit. That is cheap as balls. Do it. Apart from the ignition systems aging poorly (wiring gets cooked and insulation starts cracking), the drivetrain is totally bulletproof. 230hp+boost+AWD= a lot of fun. I'd pick em up, fix em up, sell one for 3500, and have a badass $1500 car.
