Last time I checked, he had the #1 song on iTunes. He's a friend of a friend, so I had a chance to listen to a copy of his newest CD that he had burned for my friend.

The lyrics aren't anywhere near groundbreaking or deep, but the music is catchy and it earned an add to one of my Pandora stations a while back.

Has anyone else heard of him? Love or hate him?

I'm partial to Flamingo Prefecture myself.
Astronomy has discovered the schnapps in space. Someone, he or she, had hidden it behind intergalactic clouds, probably marked for safety by a creative hand, so the space cleaning lady will not take delight in it. Sometime the clouds will breakup for me, and the beautiful women waiting behind feed me with truthful truffles. Finally water me with the essence of their heavenly appearance, until everything glows ruby red around me.

I'm one of the few "original" Owl City fans from 2007... before anyone had a clue. I found the original version of Hello Seattle and used it for a promo video (in Seattle). Checked out the rest of the work and liked it... I like listening to the tracks in chronological order, it's great to see the style evolve.

Yup, it's on the radio here all the time. It was actually the #1 most requested song on the local pop station here for the 23rd consecutive night. I'm from La Crosse, WI and apparently this guy is from Mankato, MN, which is a couple hours away. I haven't heard anything except for the single, which is pretty catchy but not really my thing.

Yeah, my friend turned me on to him in fall of '07. Now that everyone's heard of him it just seems a little less cool.

And now that some guy in cheese eating surrender monkeys land has just listened to "Maybe I'm Dreaming", and is at at present going through "Of June" Owl City should definatley be classed as 'has-been'. I mean really.

That's funny. Fall '07 is about when you started to seem a little less cool, too.
