Here in the UK next Friday is the annual BBC TV Children in Need appeal. For the first time ever I'm actually doing something, as a sort of excuse to run a twitter experiment.
On the 20th I will be attempting to spend 24 hrs in my local 24 hr Tesco store, without telling them and without being spotted and asked just what the hell I'm up to.
Here my webpage with more details.
Home
Anyone is welcome to donate. I will be sending regular updates throughout the day via twitter so I'll be interested to see how many people pick up on the event and folow me, and more interested in how much money this raises for Children in Need.
I have a couple of celebrity twitterers in the wings ready to punch up the tweets when it all kicks off. The main aim is to raise £500.
I expect to be very very bored.

No sleeping allowed. Eating? The store has a cafe that is open from 7am until 7pm After that, well it is a supermarket so I can just buy snacks I guess, although probably not after late evening as that will draw attention to myself.
I had thought about taking a change of clothing in a carrier bag (and a change of carrier bag) and changing in the loos at some point to help throw them off the scent.

Nope, not in the UK and the US. Meijer stores have had cafes for years, and my local Walmart has a Subway restaurant in it. I've seen pizza places and McDonald's and other restaurants in stores as well.

interesting idea, good luck with it.
Old-fashioned stores used to have lunch counters in them, (woolworths) now big stores are bringing them back. Target, etc.
