Seems like a problem with the glass's integrity to me.

having dealt with aggressive drunk guys in peaceful public areas... I see NO problem with how that was handled...
pitty the window broke... drunk guy must have punched it as the cop put him to the wall.

Dunno about the punching part, but nonetheless the cop didn't seem overly aggressive given the circumstances, at least on superficial glance of the video.

It does sort of look like the cop pushed him a bit harder towards the glass, but that apparent "push" could have been caused by the drunk guy stumbling forward a bit. There's no way to be certain.

The rest of the people near the video camera seem to be genuinely pleased that this drunk dude was apprehended. They even asked the cop if he needed any help, if they could place phone calls for him, etc.
