There are 30 mph winds, 8 to 15 feet drifts, the doors to my house are frozen shut, and there's three feet of snow in my driveway. Our offices are closed for the day. I believe winter is here.

I managed to unstick the front door so that the dog could go out and pee. We have to walk through a 2 foot drift to get out, though. The picture is the view through my back door.

I think there's supposed to be a road under there somewhere. The picture failed to capture the 40+mph gusts of blowing snow.
And the dog just rang the bell, meaning he has to go outside. At this point I'd rather he pee inside.

He rings a bell? That's very advanced. It's like you're his butler!

We are getting a nice mix of 32º snow/rain so it's a beautiful slushy snowy bullshit mess here.
However, I wouldn't trade it for 3' of snow...

We taught him to ring a bell when he wants to go out. It only took him about a day to pick it up. He also discovered that he often gets treats after coming back inside so he's taken it upon himself to go outside as much as possible. Also, he poops three to four times per day.

**** you and the horse you rode in on. I gave away my 360 games last week, so there's no longer any motivation for me to get one. Maybe I could get one for the HD-DVD playing abil.....oh, right. Nevermind.

We've got a good 12" - 15" of snow on the ground here in Madison. Drifts are in the 2' - 4' range. Winds are supposed to pick up throughout the day while the temperature is supposed to drop throughout the day eventually settling around -2F overnight Tomorrow everything is supposed to be a frigid, frozen mess.
When I finish breakfast I am grabbing my snowshoes and going for a hike in the Arboretum. I want to get outside and enjoy the weather and be back home before it gets too cold and too windy. It should be fun. I think.
Yes, I know I am .

Luckily I had the foresight to bring my work laptop home so I can still get work done today. Everybody else decided it was a good time for a nap.

...what games did you have again? GTA IV? I didn't think you had played that much in the past.
I smell a Wii in your future.

GTA IV and the GTA wannabe game. Between my roommate's 360 taking a dump and me moving away, I didn't get to play much.

Never. Ever.
After the TV, that was the second purchase made with wedding money. Hopefully it will last a few years. It also looks much shinier in pictures than it actually is.

The wind has now picked up and it's turned full-on to a 'slightly-above-freezing' monsoon.
I've worked outside in -10 degree snowstorms, IMO the worst weather is what we are getting right now, it chills you to the bone. I actually wouldn't mind some deep snow and a chance to put the truck in 4WD the first time this winter.

Are you kidding me? Newark Liberty is a terrible airport. Especially if you need to rent a car.

It actually snowed 2 or 3 inches in the Bay Area. Any place over 100 feet. Happens about once every 20 years or so.

It does pretty often during winter. To actually get snow at near sea level in the valley is pretty rare.
