My wife and I are going over to a nearby friend's house for a little supper and some socializing. We're going to celebrate the coming of the new year to Buenos Aires, or maybe Caracas, with them (we're in San Antonio), then head home.

We wish you all a very happy new year.

Thanks for the well wishes. Hope everybody has a good year. I just spend 2 hours deleting 2 gigs of memories from iPhoto. Hopefully things look up this year.

Sushi, District 9.

To differentiate this from the (probable) 2010 edition next year. And probably some previous threads too.

I thought someone bumped a zombie thread.

We had an exciting party with two other couples and a bunch of kids. Our exciting party just ended, 2 hours short of actual New Years. I guess that's what happens when we all have kids under 6. Now the wife and I will sit and watch some TiVo'ed shows before (probably) going to bed before midnight.

Happy New Year. Last one was great, I hope this one is better.

I'd like to follow up by hoping that all are well this morning. We watched movies until we were both quite sleepy, then turned in a bit early (New York's New Year). It was a very nice way to ring out the old. And like Railroader, 2009 was, on the whole, a very good year for us. We're hoping 2010 does its best to match.

Spent the evening in Chicago ringing in the New Year with the wife's sorority sisters and about 2000 other 20-something upper-middle class white kids.
