Need someone skilled in graphic design to help me with a book cover design. I actually had a working concept of it for a client. It's like paint splatters, sort of like Apple's invite ad to their slablet party this month.

Anyone interested in helping out (paid or free), or pointing out some instructions on how to design a book cover, with a reference to paint splatters?

Paint splatter brushes? I don't use Photoshop though. Also, don't you just love how "paint splatters" sounds? It's so fun!

I'd use Illustrator, or splatter brushes. If you type "splatter brushes" in google, you find TONS of downloadable brushes. Good luck!

Obviously, you'll need to know the dimensions and set up a bleed if you anticipate wanting the printing to go right up to the edge of the stock.

I'd also use Illustrator.

Is there any additional information you can share. I mean, is your vision identical to the Apple invite?

Be sure to have as complete a vision as possible. Maybe even collect some samples of other book covers whose fonts and layout you like. Once you have all your ducks in a row, it should be a fairly quick project.

It's been my experience that the less the client develops the vision, the heavier the weight on the designer's shoulders. This results in more time spent by the designer, and more money paid to said designer for their time.

Is the cover/side/backside text finalized?
