So it opens today. Are you planning to see it? I will.
It seems they are remaking the movie while dragging it even further away from the source material. Hades is now the villain, which is an annoying feature of Greek-based fantasy these days. There's a love triangle between Perseus, Io, and Andromeda. Fortunately, they minimized Bubo.

I think I'll see it. As a Harryhausen fan (and one of the original viewers of the original film), I want to see how they play the myth. As a fan of fantasy film, I want to see how it's acted. And it looks like a "not to be taken anywhere near seriously" film that should be a fun bit of fluff.

I'd like to see the original Dragonlance trilogy put into film.

Hmm, a single film or a trilogy, 'cause I'd prefer a single strong film than three weak films. Like, cut some characters like all the elves, or cut the barbarian couple, and definitely cut the hobbit-like character.
Too me, only Raistin, his brother, and the draconians are "essential." Emphasis the distinct elements of Dragonlance, and minimize the elves and hobbits we've already seen done well.

It was alright. The 3D was good. The ending was way rushed :/

They made an animated version of Dragons of Autumn Twilight which was horrible.

Original is not only better but also stayed true to the Greek myth of Perseus. The only improvement I saw on the remake was the special effects. If they stayed true to the original story, it would have been a smash hit instead of a colossal waste of time.

The new "Clash" film topped the box office this weekend... So much for "colossal waste of time," at least financially.

Clash of the Titans? Will Titans Clash? Spoiler: no, but there will be lots of computer animation.
Boring concept and come on: why is Hades always the bad guy. He's just god of the underworld, not any better or worse than the rest of the wicked lot that the Greek pantheon is.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I loved the original Clash of the Titans and refuse to watch this one. I'm afraid I will be sorely dissappointed. The original was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid.

It has 1 or 2 stars at most in many newspaper, and 30% on Rotten Tomatoes. I could tell from the trailer it was going to suck.

Found out yesterday that one reason for the lower quality of the 3D, that instead of shooting the film for 3d, they shot it in 2d and sent it over seas and made it into 3d.

Yep there were lots of reviews that mentioned this. I am sticking away from movies that aren't FILMED in 3D.

The Kracken in the trailer looks lame. I like the original one better.
